Depression or being negative is a common disorder nowadays, and one of the common symptoms is feeling negative about yourself. It feels good to think about how bad you feel, and the bad feeling will keep your mind from thinking about anything else. This way, you keep feeling down and the depression starts to take over.
This is one of the reasons why it is so hard to treat depression. The mind has got to be allowed to think, or you will not look toward the solution. When you think negatively, you will keep feeling down and depressed, instead of thinking positively.
When you think about how much you have to do, how bad your life is, how hard your job is and how much you suck, you will keep feeling negative. This way, you keep feeding your mind negative thoughts, and this only keeps the depression alive.
If one of your negative thoughts is true, or if you are not happy with what you have got, you will think negatively. The more you think negatively, the more you will feel negative and the more you will feed your negative thoughts. It’s a vicious cycle, because you feel negative and it keeps your mind from thinking positive.
If you keep thinking negatively, then you will feel negative and this will make you think negatively, which will make you feel even more negative, and so on. The only way out of this pit of suffering is to think a positive, happy thought everyday. Do not keep thinking about how bad you feel, do not think about how hard your job is or how much you have to do. Instead, find something to be thankful for.
Think about things you have got, think about things you still want, think about things that are beautiful. Positive thoughts work, just think them. You will feel happy and happy thoughts will change your mood.
